Our support workers have backgrounds in health, education, social care, nursing or child care. All are experienced in working with both children and adults with additional needs. They have professional qualifications, identity and visas (if applicable) verified. All staff hold enhanced DBS clearance (formerly known as CRB). Clients are able to choose their support workers from a selection we offer after we have met with them and discussed the type of support and person they would like.
Here are just a few of our services available:
Short Break Service
This can take place in or outside the client’s home. We can offer a variety of activities in the community, visits to museums, clubs, sporting activities, development of life skills, escorting to social gatherings- there are so many possibilities!
This can be provided at home, at a hospital or on a holiday for clients thatdon’t sleep through the night and can become disruptive. We also have trained staff to carry out clinical procedures and nursing care care for clients that require this during the night.
We also offer a baby sitting service to let parents and carers have a weekend away or holiday (in peace!)
We appreciate how difficult holiday times can be particularly when you have a family member with additional needs when the whole family want to have fun and /or rest and relaxation. Special people have introduced a scheme which enables families to hire our staff for holiday support work whether in the UK or overseas.
A service helping you continue your normal routines at home. We offer companionship, personal care, housekeeping duties and anything else you may need assistance with. Our staff are trained to understand the complexities of caring for some with dementia or a debilitating illness later in life. We aim to offer a bright and cheerful support service to both the client and principle carers.
Clients can choose from a selection of our team to provide their support. Our scheme covers all insurance, tax liabilities and deductions, holiday pay and pension (legal requirement if you are an employer). You also have the reassurance that the people you choose will receive be receiving regular updates in training procedures too.
